The aim of this course is to provide an overview of landlords and agents responsibilities in relation to the collection, processing, sharing and storing of information which they collect from tenants.

 

The main objectives of the course include understanding:

 

  • How the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) affects landlords and agents;

  • What responsibilities landlords and agent have while dealing with tenant’s personal information;

  • The difference between data processors and data controllers;

  • What data collected by landlord and agents require compliance with GDPR;

  • How landlords and agents inform tenants about the way their personal information is going to be handled;

  • What fines are associated with breaching GDPR.

Assessment

 

The assessment is made of 10 multi-choice questions. You will need to achieve a score of 70% (7 correct answers) to pass the assessment and complete the course.

 

You will need to complete the assessment in one go. Unlike the course sections where you can save your progress and return to it at a later date, this is not possible on the assessment.
